24th college reopening day after online classes

National “Just Do It” Day is on January 24, and we’re here to help you epically celebrate the day. National “Just Do It” Day was first celebrated in 2015. It is a day that inspires us to do new things or to finally just do that one thing that we’ve been procrastinating for a while. It inspires us to start changing things in life by doing the one tiny thing we keep leaving undone — calling your gran, cleaning the garage, or writing that email. One step can make a big change.

Back to college after the online classes. I felt the whole campus with full of greenery welcomed me into the college and soothing my eye. Today the strength of students were weak and first year general class were divided into two sections - Batch A and Batch B. I was in batch B, batch A  comprises of students from natural science ,English and also the social science optional.
First session of the day was taken by  Dr. Ancy ma'am. She asked questions from the previous class, its like a revision for me. Then after she discussed about the topic  developmental aspects in early childhood

The next  hour was handled by M.Ed intern Revathy maam on the topic teaching aids. Later Neena ma'am gave us a clarity in the previous topic of Sustainable Development and introduced a new topic , Mill's method of induction. Then i submitted the assignment.

In the afternoon session we had the class of Dr. Joju sir on the topic audio- visual aids. He taught us using presentation slide so that everyone can clearly understand each and very point. The last hour was physical education, Dr. George sir ,he taught us to making health chart.

The day was ended with full of hope .

If you keep a journal or a hand-written to-do list, you probably appreciate the tactile pleasures and slower pace of writing by hand. Although it may seem quaint in a world full of digital devices and voice-to-text apps, handwriting is an important skill that can help sharpen your brain, slow the frenetic pace of your thoughts, and improve your memory. National Handwriting Day is observed on January 23, the birthday of John Hancock — the first man to sign the Declaration of Independence. His autograph became so famous that we now commonly use ‘John Hancock’ as another term for ‘signature.’

today is Sunday even though  i am sharing this blog to all inform all about the importance of handwriting. Each of us have a unique handwriting ,but now a days nobody is writing anything,we all have a digital mobile phone to do everything.  Because of that we gradually lose ous handwriting. So give some time in your life to enhance your writing skill.

Today its a saturday.Though Celebration of Life Day, which lands on January 22, was originally instituted to celebrate the children in our lives, it has come to signify all that’s good about being alive. It’s easy to forget sometimes, but we are all fortunate to be here. Take time to celebrate that the good far outweighs the bad in this life. It all starts with gratitude and appreciation for where you are right now, and wherever you hope your dreams take you. Every life is precious, individual, and a huge gift, so take a little extra time today

Creativity day

Socially Useful Productive Work (SUPW) is a "purposive productive work and services related to the needs of the child and the community, which will be proved meaningful to the learner. ... The training acquired in the classroom is expected to help students to solve day-to-day problems of the community.

As part of the NAAC visit we got an opportunity to show our talents. We were given a room to make it creative and attractive. At first time we only have a vague idea about the work. But later final outcome was awesome and which is out of our imagination. It was a great experience and we are happy to see our complete hard work. Above all we should thank Deepti teacher for trusting us and for being supportive.
I was so excited to do this wall art with my colleagues. They are so supportive and they helped me a lot to complete this. This symbolise the hard work, the  team work of mttc students.

At beginning of the spiral creativity thought it will take one week to complete this work but be complete it within 3 or 4 days. Above spiral art is a combination of doodle art and scribble art which connect creativity to education. The major role of a teacher is to add colours to the life of her student you think creatively and gain knowledge. Black continuous line which is the spiral parts shows the the knowledge is continuous process it can acquire anytime within our lifespan. this was shows the major spot in Trivandrum. The wall consist of origami, water paintings, oil paintings, glass paintings etc.The student teacher of mttc contributed different varieties of talents.

20th December 2022

As a part of SUPW, we had a flower arrangement session taken by Elizabeth Ma'am. The session was very interesting and attractive.

Ma'am taught us about the rules and regulations regarding the flower arrangement.   In basic there are classical and natural arrangement. Beyond that there is Japanese flower arrangement which depicts the nature. Ma'am shown us the Japanese flower arrangement using kenzan pin holder that is used to insert flowers to a point. The flowers cannot be  arranged simply but there is a proportion in its height. Like, heaven is the top most point of the flower arrangement and then varying through different  angles we can place the flowers and leaves in orderly manner which enhances the beauty of the arrangement.  The top most point should be chosen such that the length of the stem should be double the width of the container plus height of the container.

She then depicted ' One flower One leaf ' arrangement and added that, the stem should be cut in a slanting manner so that we can increase the space for water absorption. Also while doing flower arrangement, we should always  choose odd number of flowers and ceramic containers to place the arrangement.  At last she taught us about shallow container arrangement and that was too magnificent to see.
